Brian Pillman Jr. possibly getting a new name for when he starts his WWE NXT run

As previously noted, WWE started teasing the debut of former AEW star Brian Pillman Jr. on NXT television. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Brian could be getting a new name for his WWE NXT run. Johnson noted the following…

“WWE trademarked a ring name for Lexis King. We have heard around the WWE Performance Center that this name was earmarked for Brian Pillman Jr.”

In 2009, Brian’s sister Alexis “Lexi” Pillman passed away after being in a car accident. Brian’s mom Melanie was married to Steven Michael King and Brian used the name “Alex King” when he first started in wrestling.
