CM Punk reportedly participated in an ESPN interview that will “make a lot of people upset”

CM Punk is scheduled to make his return to AEW this Saturday for the debut of Collision. In an audio update on PWTorchVIP.com, Wade Keller said the following about Punk…

“I am under the impression between now and Saturday, there’s going to be something that comes out that media wise that is not gonna help matters, probably. I don’t mean to be cryptic but I haven’t heard the details or seen enough to say much but yea, I just don’t know. I just think it’s gonna be one of those weeks, I’ll put it that way…From what I’m hearing behind the scenes in AEW, it’s just gonna be one of those weeks.”

In regards to Keller’s comments, Bryan Alvarez wrote on F4WOnline.com’s message board that Punk participated in an ESPN interview that will be released on Friday. Alvarez was told the interview will “make a lot of people upset.” Fightful.com also noted that Punk’s interview was apparently done in a way that would “blur the lines” and help create buzz for upcoming shows.

AEW has been teasing that Punk will get “a lot of things off his chest” this Saturday at Collision.
