AEW reportedly holds backstage talent meeting over the return of Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa is back with AEW in a non-wrestling capacity as she continues to recover from a back injury. According to Fightful Select, there was a “major” backstage talent meeting at AEW Dynamite on February 8th 2023 to discuss Rosa’s return. It was also said that the meeting was seemingly productive in regards to easing tensions between Rosa and the locker room. Fightful noted the following…

“Those that we spoke to with knowledge of the meeting said that Rosa did a lot of ‘making amends’ for several issues that came up along the way during her previous run in the company. There were those on the roster that took issue with her approach to things, and believed she made others on the women’s roster seem like bullies. There were also complaints about sandbagging and working stiff.”

Rosa issued a statement via Twitter in regards to her new role…

“Exciting news, #AEW fans! While my recovery continues, I’ll join @AEW as a Spanish commentator & on-screen personality. I’m thrilled to be able to serve Spanish-speaking fans in this unique way. Health is a journey with ups and downs. Meanwhile, I’ll see you from the booth!”
