What is being said about WWE’s plans for an LA Knight push heading into Summerslam 2023
LA Knight is scheduled to participate in a battle royal at the 2023 WWE Summerslam PLE. In regards to why Knight hasn’t been featured more prominently despite the crowd reactions, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following…
“WWE sources indicate this is all by plan and that Knight’s standing with the company is held extremely high by executives. Internally, he’s been praised for getting himself over and breaking the mold of what was given to him creatively and being an even stronger character than was once envisioned for him on the main roster.”
It was added that while WWE reportedly plans to push Knight in the near future, the company also wants to wait until the timing is right to “pull the trigger” on him. Twitter account @WRKDWrestling stated the following about Johnson’s report…
“We can add that there are parties worried that the company won’t strike while the iron is hot and momentum will fade, as they’ve done with some in the past.”
As previously noted, Knight was reportedly WWE’s top merchandise seller for the month of July.
