New match involving LA Knight announced for the 2023 WWE Summerslam PLE

During the July 28th 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown, it was announced that a battle royal will take place at the 2023 Summerslam PLE involving competitors from both RAW and Smackdown.

Backstage, LA Knight approached Adam Pearce about being in the battle royal. Sheamus and the Brawling Brutes then showed up and confronted Knight. Pearce added Knight and Sheamus to the match and also booked them in a singles match for next week’s Smackdown.
