More details regarding The Elite signing new contracts with AEW

As previously noted, members of The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks’ Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson, and “Hangman” Adam Page) have all signed multi-year contracts with AEW.

In regards to how much interest WWE had in The Elite, Fightful Select noted the following…

“Numerous sources within WWE indicated that they would have had interest in any and all members of the group. There were some people within WWE that felt like they stood a chance at potentially landing the group, but serious talks were never engaged as far as we know.”

It’s believed that one of the contracts is “at least four years” in duration although it’s not confirmed and all of the deals were reportedly finalized over the course of the past couple of weeks.

Now that the Young Bucks are staying with AEW, there is said to be some “movement” in having them face FTR in another match although there is no word about any potential storyline between The Elite and CM Punk.
