Possible spoiler regarding the identity of Saraya’s mystery partner for AEW Dynamite
As previously noted, Sasha Banks (now known as Mercedes Mone) made her NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17 and there has been speculation about her possibly being Saraya’s mystery partner on the January 11th 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite in Los Angeles.
Since the announcement was first made, AEW downplayed the tag match for several weeks. Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN.com reported the following update about the match…
“Sources: Mercedes Varnado will be Saraya’s partner next week in AEW Dynamite in LA against Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter. Couldn’t announce or make a major hint due to her being still under contract to WWE until the beginning of 2023.”

During the January 4th 2023 edition of Dynamite, Britt Baker referred to herself as “the boss” during a sit-down interview with Tony Schiavone. In another sit-down interview later on during the show, Saraya said that Toni Storm would be her partner which Hikaru Shida wasn’t happy about.
