News regarding Eric Young potentially making a return to WWE
On Wednesday, TNA Wrestling announced that Eric Young has been released from the company. Young confirmed that he requested his release and it was granted.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, there has been discussion about Young returning to WWE in a player/coach role similar to the one held by Shawn Spears. Fightful.com previously noted that the door has been open for him to come back to the company.
Multiple sources have reportedly indicated that WWE expects Young to begin in NXT, although not immediately. It was noted that the current plan is for him to start in September.
