Mark Briscoe reportedly dealing with a legitimate injury following world title match against MJF

Mark Briscoe is reportedly dealing with a legitimate injury, although further details have not been disclosed.

Briscoe unsuccessfully challenged MJF for the AEW world championship on the July 1st 2026 edition of Dynamite. When Collision aired the following night, it was revealed that Briscoe had been injured and could be sidelined for an extended period. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted, “Not sure what the injury is, but Mark Briscoe injury is legit. All the best to him.”

During a backstage promo on Collision, Briscoe’s Conglomeration stablemates addressed the situation after the group’s victory in the Death’s Door steel cage match at Forbidden Door. Orange Cassidy said, “That steel cage match was crazy. We got the job done, and Mark did get his championship title shot at Dynamite, but it didn’t really work out.” Kyle O’Reilly added, “Because of his injuries, we don’t know when we’re going to see Mark again.”
