TNA Wrestling announces that Eric Young has been released from the company

Last month, it was announced that Tessa Blanchard, Tommy Dreamer, and Sami Callihan are no longer working for TNA Wrestling. TNA Veteran Eric Young has been added to the list of departures as TNA issued the following statement…

“TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Eric Young, effective immediately. EY has had a legendary TNA career, including twice as TNA World Champion. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Ricky Sosa defeated Young during the Slammiversary 2026 pre-show.

Falsefinishhq.com wrote on Twitter/X, “WWE sources indicate to False Finish that the company is expected to have interest in bringing Eric Young back to the company after his TNA departure.” Fightful.com also noted that Young has a good relationship with Paul “Triple H” Levesque and the door has been open for him to come back to the company.
