Report: Andy Williams aka The Butcher rushed to hospital after medical emergency

Andy Williams, best known as The Butcher from his time in AEW and on the independent wrestling scene, reportedly suffered a medical emergency following a tag team match at Saturday night’s Enjoy Wrestling event in Pittsburgh, PA.

According to fan reports circulating online, Williams appeared to faint after the match and was helped backstage by his tag team partner, The Blade. A Reddit user stated that “paramedics were doing chest compressions and using a defibrillator.” The medical issue reportedly continued backstage, resulting in an ambulance being called and Williams being transported to a hospital.

The remainder of the event was subsequently canceled. Enjoy Wrestling issued the following statement…

“Andy collapsed at the end of his match this evening. Our doctors on staff tended to him immediately, administering CPR until the ambulance arrived. We sent everyone home and are at the hospital now waiting for more information. Thanks to everyone who helped and has reached out.”
