WWE could be bringing back the Sin Cara character

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has held early creative discussions about potentially bringing back the Sin Cara character, with a new wrestler wearing the mask if the idea moves forward. False Finish also reported that Myzteziz Jr. was under consideration for the role.

The Sin Cara character was last portrayed in WWE by Cinta de Oro in late 2019. Before that, Mistico played the character from April 2011 to October 2013.

Mistico remains a major star and currently wrestles for promotions including CMLL, NJPW, and AEW. Meanwhile, Cinta de Oro currently competes on the independent scene in Mexico and promotes events.

Drew McIntyre joked that he could be the next Sin Cara by writing “I’m ready” on Twitter/X.
