Full WWE SmackDown results for August 29th 2025 from Lyon, France

The show opened with a Logan Paul promo in the ring. Logan said he was not a parasite, but rather a disruptor, as the crowd chanted “f*ck you, Logan” at him. He took credit for WWE’s deals with Netflix and ESPN. Logan claimed that John Cena represents an outdated era of wrestling and warned that it’s Cena who needs to bring his A-game at Clash in Paris. He then spoke in French and continued to get booed.

John Cena came to the ring to confront Logan and received a massive ovation from the fans in Lyon. Cena said the people want to root for Logan, but he continues to be a wannabe disruptor. Cena called Logan “a dollar-store John Cena.” He added that Logan’s influence is shrinking and that he’s desperate to “save his own ass.”

Cena then spoke about respect before approaching the viral kid from when he first turned heel. Cena apologized to the kid and told him he loved him. Cena ended the segment by telling Logan, “You asked for this match dickhead, and now you got it.”

In a backstage segment, Bo Dallas (not in Uncle Howdy costume) confronted the Street Profits and questioned the team’s brotherhood if they failed to win the tag team titles back.

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss had been scheduled to defend the women’s tag team titles against Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. However, Chelsea and Alba attacked Charlotte as the champions were making their entrance. Since Charlotte wasn’t cleared to compete, Alexa Bliss faced Chelsea in a singles match instead. Alexa took care of Alba Fyre at ringside, but Chelsea capitalized and sent Alexa into the steel steps.

After the commercial break, Alexa mounted a comeback, but Alba jumped on the apron, allowing Chelsea to counter Twisted Bliss by getting her knees up. Alexa avoided the Unpretty-her and scored the win with a roll-up. After the match, Alexa was attacked, and Charlotte tried to make the save despite wearing a knee brace. However, Chelsea and Alba gained the upper hand and stood tall to end the segment.

Backstage, Sami Zayn said he was feeling completely confident about his match against Solo Sikoa and even spoke in French.

In a video package, Aleister Black referred to Damian Priest as “misguided and hollow.” Backstage, Damian Priest said that Aleister Black is unprepared for a fight, but he’ll teach him a lesson about pain.

The next match was Michin vs. Kiana James. Kiana tried to use her purse as a weapon, but Michin dodged the attack and immediately scored the win with a roll-up. After the match, Giulia and Kiana attacked Michin. Giulia stomped Michin into the steel steps.

Drew McIntyre came to the ring for a promo and called out Randy Orton. Orton walked down the ramp as the fans sang his entrance song. McIntyre tried to convince Orton that Cody Rhodes was not his friend. Orton responded that he didn’t attack McIntyre because of Cody, but because McIntyre was a prick. McIntyre then hit Orton with a Glasgow Kiss, but Orton avoided a Claymore. Orton went for an RKO, but security and Hurricane Helms ran into the ring. Orton attacked all of them with RKOs and went for a punt on McIntyre, but McIntyre escaped.

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes told The Miz to stop stealing his wins. Miz responded that they are “lightning in a bottle.” Bo Dallas then approached them.

In the next match, The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) faced The Miz and Carmelo Hayes. Miz and Hayes worked well together, but The Wyatt Six distracted Miz at ringside. The Street Profits capitalized on the situation and scored the victory on Hayes, earning a tag team title match against The Wyatt Six at Clash in Paris.

Backstage, Jade Cargill revealed to Tiffany Stratton that she is the #1 contender for the women’s title.

The final match saw Solo Sikoa defending the United States title against Sami Zayn. Zayn built up momentum, but the MFTs attacked him while the referee was distracted. Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu came out to attack the MFTs, evening the odds for Zayn. Solo regained the upper hand with a Spinning Solo on Zayn through a table. Zayn barely beat the referee’s 10-count.

After the final commercial break, Zayn avoided the Samoan Spike and delivered two Helluva Kicks to win the United States title. Pyro went off as Zayn celebrated his victory with the fans.
