Former WWE star praises TNA partnership but says “there’s still room to improve that relationship”
While speaking to Medd in the Morning, former WWE star Cedric Alexander commented on his ongoing run with TNA Wrestling. Alexander stated the following in regards to WWE’s partnership with TNA…
“I think it’s been working very well. I think there’s still room to improve that relationship, but also, you know, it’s one of those things where it’s just good for the business. You know what I mean? I feel like the business itself progresses faster when everyone works together. There’s no need for tribalism. We all find a place to work.
I remember I was in NXT when the partnership was announced, and I remember being excited because I thought, “Ooh, I could probably go to TNA and do some things in TNA.” That was my exact thought. It was one of those bucket-list things. I didn’t know how long I was going to be at WWE, and if the opportunity came to TNA in any way, shape, or form, I would love to do that.
Then, when the opportunity came up, it was even better that it was with Ali and debuting there. Man, I feel like the last year and a half, two years, has been a journey of ups and downs, but it’s been a journey that helps me appreciate wrestling more and gives me better insight into what I need as a professional wrestler. I think TNA has given me exactly what I need as a professional wrestler, and that’s something that I don’t want to take away from anyone.”
