Hurt Business 2.0: I don’t think reinstating past members of a destitute stable is the best idea
On Smackdown, we have recently seen Bobby Lashley meet with the Street Profits Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. We also seen him meet with Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
We then had seen the Street Profits “shopping” for clothes that Bobby Lashley deems proper attire to be in his presence. Nothing more regarding Trick & Melo directly, but we did see Melo & Trick agree to part ways on separate paths on the most recent episode of NXT.
A couple of days later, Friday Night Smackdown had the Street Profits dressed in suit attire, interfere in the match between the OC and the Brawling Brutes. This attack was typical in heel fashion, however, the crowd loved it and cheered them on. The crowd’s pleasure increased as Bobby Lashley joined them on the entrance ramp and they chanted “Bobby, Bobby”.
So where do they go from here?
Should the Hurt Business 2.0 remain heels as they were intended to going forward or turn face? Well, if they wish to remain heel, there are plenty of ways for them to do so. However, I personally think they should be more of a “tweener” group while they are still in their early stages and based on the crowd’s reaction.
Seems like two options for an obvious feud would be The OC and The Brawling Brutes, both of which are currently face factions. I say obvious because that’s the two stables involved in the match they interfered with.
Ultimately, I would wish for a battle between them and Imperium with Bobby and Gunther facing off for the Intercontinental Championship. Unfortunately they are on different shows.
Who will join them?
The former Hurt Business consisted of MVP (currently with Omos), Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. I don’t think reinstating past members of a destitute stable is the best idea, especially if that means adding Omos by default because of his connection with MVP.
I do think adding either Trick or Melo to the stable is a possibility. Most likely the latter as he has made several appearances on the main rosters recently. As NXT Champion, the next step for him is up. I would love for Carmelo Hayes to jump to Smackdown and join Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits.
The past few months, the rumor mill has been talking about turning the Street Profits and Bianca Belair heel. Supposedly, they switched up on Bianca due to Wrestlemania plans. However, the past few months they seem to have had Bianca on a slow path to a heel turn. Given last night’s Summerslam results, I can easily see Bianca turning heel and if that’s the intent of the group, I think she’d fit in perfectly.
What Should We Call Them?
By default Hurt Business 2.0 seems to currently be the best fitting name, however I don’t think that’s what their name should ultimately be. I don’t presently have any suggestions, but I do know that Hurt Business 2.0 doesn’t work for me.
Final Thoughts
Would you like to see a stable consisting of Bobby Lashley, Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Carmelo Hayes & Bianca Belair? Would you want Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, MVP & Omos or any combination of them added to the group?
What do you think a good name for the stable would be?
