WWE being sued for more information about “horrifying allegations” made against Vince McMahon

It was reported by Bloomberg.com that an investor has sued WWE for more information about “horrifying allegations” against chairman Vince McMahon. The lawsuit is seeking internal files from WWE to investigate claims and here is an excerpt from the complaint…

“The facts here start with horrifying allegations that Vince McMahon raped and sexually assaulted a number of WWE employees and contractors over the course of decades. When confronted, he then paid the victims nearly $15 million in ‘hush money’ to buy off their silence. There are serious questions about how Vince McMahon obtained and delivered those funds to his victims.”

The lawsuit alleges that McMahon’s return to the company in January showed “a flagrant disregard for basic corporate governance norms” and the following was stated…

“If such investigation leads to a plenary action resulting in a finding that Vince McMahon breached his fiduciary duty of loyalty, Plaintiff intends to achieve what the Board wanted to, but could not in light of Vince McMahon’s thuggery. Plaintiff will commence a proceeding under 8 Del. C. §225 to bar Vince McMahon from ever serving on the WWE Board again.”

Bloomberg noted that WWE didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on Wednesday. Three other lawsuits are pending in regards to McMahon’s WWE return.
