Video: WWE seemingly makes references to CM Punk’s altercation with The Elite

As previously noted, there was reportedly a physical altercation between members of The Elite and CM Punk after the 2022 AEW Out PPV event when The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega “stormed into” CM Punk’s locker room.

During the September 9th 2022 edition of Smackdown, WWE seemingly made references to CM Punk’s public remarks during the All Out post-show media scrum as well as the third-party investigation into the altercation. Announcer Michael Cole said the following about Ronda Rousey’s attack on Adam Pearce from the previous week’s show…

“I have been told that Ronda Rousey has been disciplined internally and the results will not be made public. Sources have told me this, WWE official Adam Pearce has gotten carried away, he’s aired the dirty laundry publicly, hence the reason this investigation was taken behind the scenes with Ronda.”
