Update on Johnny Gargano’s status with WWE NXT

As previously noted, there was speculation about Johnny Gargano’s status with WWE after he removed the term “NXT” from his Twitter profile.

Even though Gargano’s contract expires on December 3rd, it appears that WWE still has plans to use him. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Gargano’s social media changes…

“There is nothing at all to that right now in the sense he’s with NXT and he’s got stuff written in for future shows and nobody internally has been alerted that anything has changed with his status.”

There is no word yet on what WWE has planned for Gargano. The future of The Way is unclear since Austin Theory is on the main roster and Indy Hartwell is now being paired up with Persia Pirotta.
