News regarding WWE’s plans for Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar

Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend the WWE Universal Title against Brock Lesnar at the 2021 Crown Jewel PPV event.

In regards to the outcome of the match, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that Reigns vs. Lesnar is not expected to be a “one and done” program. Meltzer wrote that “the idea here is to build to a return, whether that means Lesnar wins to build to a rematch or some disputed decision takes place. There is also Paul Heyman in play as the storyline is written to tease that Heyman is a double agent and you don’t know who he will side with when all the chips are down.” Reigns is currently a -220 betting odds favorite against Lesnar who has +155 odds.

One possible scenario is that Reigns will feud with Drew McIntyre after Crown Jewel and then face Lesnar in a rematch at Wrestlemania 38 if The Rock is unavailable.

Reigns’ confrontation with Lesnar from the October 1st 2021 edition of Smackdown has over 6 million views on YouTube.
