Update on Jamie Hayter’s status with AEW after being attacked by the debuting Thekla

As seen during the May 28th 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite, Jamie was attacked by the debuting “Toxic Spider” Thekla. This angle followed Jamie’s loss to Mercedes Mone at the 2025 Double or Nothing PPV event.

According to Fightful.com, sources in AEW have said that Jamie would be booked if she were available with the indication being that she hasn’t been cleared. While there is currently no timetable for Jamie’s return, the hope is that she will be back in action soon.

It was noted that AEW had to “get creative” with the Thekla attack angle due to Jamie’s situation. This is reportedly why the lights went out during the segment.

Jamie returned at AEW All In 2024 after being out of action for over a year. She has also dealt with visa issues in the past.
