Rumor killer regarding Roman Reigns’ opponent for the 2023 WWE Crown Jewel PLE
As previously noted, Roman Reigns is expected to defend his undisputed WWE Universal championship at the 2023 WWE Crown Jewel PLE. While there are internet rumors that John Cena will be Reigns’ opponent at the event but Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following…
“Although the promos where the Bloodline and [Paul] Heyman talk of Cena as ‘the second greatest wrestler of all-time,’ with the idea Reigns is the greatest and a play off Cena’s WWE tag line of being the greatest, and Cena also at this point scheduled for Crown Jewel, it was confirmed to us that Reigns vs. Cena is not the match planned for the show.”
Other names speculated to be Reigns’ opponent at Crown Jewel include LA Knight and AJ Styles but neither have been confirmed at this time.
