Results of Swerve Strickland vs. Adam Page at AEW All Out 2024 (Swerve gets stuck with needle)

Swerve Strickland vs. Adam Page in a “lights out” steel cage match took place at AEW All Out 2024. Here are the highlights…

* Swerve attacked Page before the cage could be lowered. Several items were brought into the ring by Prince Nana before the cage was lowered. Swerve worked over Page and Nana called Page a “stupid idiot” from outside of the ring.

* Page tried to use a staple gun on Swerve but Swerve absorbed the punishment and took the staple gun from Page. The crowd chanted “you sick f*ck” at Swerve. Swerve stapled a family photo to Page’s face.

* Page was finally able to gain the advantage and wrapped barbed wire around his arm to use as a weapon. Swerve was busted open and Page targeted the wound by dragging it into barbed wire.

* Page tried to use a chair but Swerve countered with a house call kick. Swerve jumped off the referee’s back with a buckshot lariat to Page. Swerve grabbed a cinder block and gave Page a vertebreaker onto it which led to Page’s back bleeding.

* A table was set up in the ring. Swerve put Page through the table with a swerve stomp but Page kicked out and Tony Schiavone said “of course he did!”

* Page recovered and grabbed a splinter spike that he took from Swerve’s burned house. Page tried to stab Swerve with it but Swerve fought back. Swerve got the spike and stabbed Page with it.

* Page managed to give Swerve a desperation low blow and then powerbombed Swerve onto a cinder block. Swerve managed to kick out.

* Swerve regained control and powerbombed Page into the steel cage. Swerve gave Page a house call kick into the cage. Swerve hit another one but Page managed to kick out.

* Swerve tried to climb the cage but Page powerbombed him to the mat. Page hit the deadeye but Swerve kicked out. Page told Swerve to beg for mercy and then hit him with a steel chair. Page pulled out Swerve’s grill and stuck a needle into Swerve’s mouth. Page then hit Swerve in the head with a steel chair and the referee stopped the match. Page was declared the winner by knockout.
