Eddie Kingston vs. Jon Moxley in the Continental Classic final took place at the 2023 AEW Worlds End PPV event. Here are the highlights…

* This match was to crown the first Continental champion. Bryan Danielson was on commentary.

* The two had a feeling out process in the early moments. Things started getting more heated and they traded chops. The two ended up on the outside and Kingston hurt himself with a dive when he crashed into the barricade. Moxley gave Kingston a Paradigm Shift on the floor and Kingston was barely able to beat the referee’s 10 count.

* The two exchanged more chops and flipped each other off. Moxley hurt his knee and Kingston took advantage. Kingston delivered the machine gun chops in three ring corners and applied a bulldog choke. Moxley countered with a choke of his own but Kingston managed to get to the ropes.

* The two traded more shots and Kingston finally got the win with a spinning backfist. After the match, the crowd chanted “you deserve it” and Moxley hugged Kingston.
