Possible reason for the Madcap Moss injury angle on WWE Smackdown

An injury angle took place with Madcap Moss during the May 13th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown. Happy Corbin attacked Moss’ neck using a steel chair and the Andre The Giant memorial battle royal trophy. Moss ended up being taken out of the arena on a stretcher.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following in regards to why this angle was done…

“The Moss injury angle is because there have been pitches to now change his gimmick and look now that he’s a babyface, which they should do. It’s not a lock that they will or how it will change, only that it is under consideration.”
