News regarding Roman Reigns’ WWE matches for the remainder of 2026
In a video published to social media, Rey Mysterio announced a tournament featuring luchadores from WWE RAW, SmackDown and AAA. The winner will earn a World Heavyweight Championship match against Reigns on the September 14th episode of RAW in Mexico City. According to WrestleVotes Radio, the backstage expectation is for Penta to win the tournament.
Meanwhile, WrestleVotes noted that Reigns vs. LA Knight is reportedly being discussed for WWE Money in the Bank on October 10th. There is said to be a strong feeling internally that the match will happen and Reigns is expected to enter the event as the champion. Reigns vs. Knight has been teased on RAW in recent weeks.
Reigns is officially being advertised for the 2026 Survivor Series PLE. In recent years, Reigns has participated in the men’s War Games match at Survivor Series.
