News regarding potential opponents for John Cena and Travis Scott in a 2025 WWE tag team match

As seen during the WWE WrestleMania 41 Sunday PLE, rapper Travis Scott played a role in helping John Cena win the undisputed WWE Universal title from Cody Rhodes. It was reported during the week that a pitch was made to have Cena team up with Scott in a tag team match at some point.

In regards to potential opponents for Cena and Scott, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following…

“The theory was Bad Bunny would be on the other side. [Cody] Rhodes would make the most sense as the partner but that aspect wasn’t confirmed to us past the idea that if it is done, they’d need a wrestler of the level of Cena on the face side.”

Bad Bunny has wrestled for WWE on multiple occasions including a match against Damian Priest at the 2023 WWE Backlash PLE. WWE was at least considering the idea of Bad Bunny vs. Dominik Mysterio for WrestleMania 41.
