As previously noted, there was reportedly a physical altercation between members of The Elite and CM Punk after the 2022 AEW Out PPV event when The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega “stormed into” CM Punk’s locker room.
In a development on the situation, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com reported that producer Ace Steel has finally been released from AEW after over a month of investigation. There were reports in recent weeks that Steel allegedly hit Nick Jackson with a chair along with pulling the hair of Omega and biting him. During Wrestling Observer Radio on Tuesday night, Meltzer said the following…
“He [Steel] was officially released yesterday, so that’s the first bit of news out of that whole situation in weeks. But yes he was released and there’s a lot of other stuff going on, but it’s just stuff going on, but there’s nothing else really to it. But he was released yesterday.” (quote courtesy of WrestleTalk.com)
It’s believed that prior to his release, Steel was still being paid by the company.
