Gable Steveson reportedly among of the names of WWE wrestlers that were released

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson was among the list of WWE cuts from the past week. Meltzer noted the following about Steveson’s release…

“The early word was that he wasn’t adapting to pro wrestling as well as hoped, while his brother Bobby (Damon Kemp), the Kasper Brothers (The Creeds), and Bronson Rechsteiner (Bron Breakker) were believed to be the stronger prospects as far as making the transition from real sports to WWE.”

In regards to a potential AEW run, Meltzer noted that it’s hard to say but Steveson wouldn’t have been cut from WWE if the company thought he still had potential.

Steveson had several WWE dark matches in early 2024. During an appearance on the JAXXON PODCAST earlier this month, Steveson claimed that the matches were “going really well.”
