Backstage news regarding FTR’s return to AEW at the 2023 Revolution PPV

As seen during the 2023 AEW Revolution PPV, FTR returned to the company after taking a few months off. While there were rumors of FTR possibly returning to WWE, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted how “the belief was that FTR are locked into long-term deals with AEW and their disappearance and tease of going elsewhere was just a storyline cover.” It’s being said that AEW did everything possible to make FTR’s return a surprise and Fightful.com noted how it “was kept very quiet backstage.”
