Rusev addresses rumors about his status with WWE amid television absence
WWE star Rusev, who has been out of action, did an interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast. Here are the highlights from the discussion…
Why he’s been off television: “I’ve been out for what, two, three months. But, yes, I did get kicked in the head. My hands went numb, but I felt better and finished the match. Then I got a little sick after that. Not related, I don’t believe it was related. So, I was out for that. But then I’ve been ready. I’ve been good for about two months. I’m just ready to go back to TV.”
Talk of Rusev joining Ethan Page and Big Cass in a faction: “It’s very internet booking. We have one, two, three bad guys. Let’s put them together. I have not heard anything about this, but also, I don’t know if I’m okay with it either. Like, that guy, I left for a couple of months, you know? I got hurt, then I got sickness, then I had the kid, and Page just goes out there and finds another tall guy to back him up. Like, F you, bro. You never called me, you never texted me, you never checked on me. You’re just going to go and find yourself a big goof. Good for you.”
