Elayna Black on hitting rock bottom: “Ectopic pregnancy, boyfriend leaves me, lose my knee, dog dies, and then I got fired a few months later”

In a documentary published on TNA Wrestling’s YouTube channel, former WWE star Elayna Black aka Cora Jade opened up about her personal struggles. The documentary featured footage of Black discussing her situation around the time she underwent surgery for a torn ACL. Black stated the following…

“Rock bottom is one hell of a place, and we can only go up from here. So, I’m trying to look at it as a reset, as a positive. Spend the next nine months working on myself mentally.”

In an interview clip, Black discussed her WWE release following a series of setbacks…

“Ectopic pregnancy, boyfriend leaves me, lose my knee, dog dies, and then I got fired a few months later. I was so scared of losing anything else that mattered to me that I didn’t want to pretend like anything mattered to me.

When I got fired, inside, I was like, ‘Oh, holy shit. I just—I’ve lost the literal last thing. Like, I have lost everything. This was the very last thing, and now I’ve lost this. I literally have nothing.'”
