WWE reportedly interested in a wrestler that has been working for AEW/CMLL

Persephone is currently under a dual contract with CMLL and AEW. According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, WWE is expected to make her an offer once she is legally able to sign.

Meltzer noted that WWE has not aggressively pursued CMLL talent beyond signing La Catalina, but that could change if WWE secures an American television deal, gains additional sponsorship revenue, and increases its budget for Mexican talent.

Bryan Alvarez stated the following in regards to the situation…

“I am told Persephone did not pick AEW over WWE because she never actually got a WWE offer. She has been under CMLL contract and hasn’t been able to talk with WWE at all. Like a lot of others she took the opportunity to add the AEW contract to the CMLL one.”
