CM Punk & Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther & Sami Zayn took place at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18th 2026. Here are the highlights…

All four men started brawling as soon as the match began until order was restored. Gunther took Punk to the outside and sent him over the barricade. After Cody helped Punk back into the ring, Punk was able to tag Cody into the match.

Cody connected with multiple Cody Cutters on Gunther, but Gunther was able to counter Cross Rhodes. After Zayn tagged in, Cody avoided the Helluva Kick and tagged back out to Punk. Punk and Cody applied dueling submissions, but Gunther helped Zayn, and Zayn helped Gunther in return.

Zayn connected with the Helluva Kick on Punk, but Cody hit Cross Rhodes on Zayn. Gunther took down Cody with a lariat, and Punk connected with a GTS on Gunther.

Gunther applied the sleeper hold to Punk, but Cody tagged in and hit Cross Rhodes on Gunther. However, Zayn broke up the pin attempt, knocking down the referee in the process. After Zayn was hit with a GTS, Cody went for a Cutter on Gunther but accidentally hit Punk instead.

After Gunther used the WWE Title as a weapon on Cody, he delivered a powerbomb. Another referee came down to make the pin, but Nick Aldis pulled him out of the ring. After Aldis hit Gunther with the title, Punk delivered the GTS to Gunther and pulled Cody on top of him to give his team the victory.
