The man accused of stalking Liv Morgan has been found Not Guilty by reason of insanity

In the spring of 2025, a person accused of stalking Liv Morgan was reportedly arrested outside of the WWE Performance Center.

It was reported by PostWrestling.com that Shawn Chan, the man who was accused of the stalking, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Monday. Chan was found not guilty by reason of insanity on a charge of interstate domestic violence, which carried a maximum sentence of five years in prison. He had been detained for just over a year prior to the ruling.

The court session lasted slightly more than 30 minutes. Chan waived his right to a jury trial, allowing Judge Mary S. Scriven to decide the case. Following the ruling, the judge ordered that the U.S. Marshals Service coordinate with ICE to transfer Chan into its custody. Chan is a Canadian resident.

Court records did not specify the next steps in the case. However, standard procedure suggests that ICE will continue to detain Chan while deportation proceedings are carried out.
