What happened with Asuka during the May 11th 2026 edition of WWE RAW

As seen during the 2026 WWE Backlash PLE, Iyo Sky defeated Asuka in a singles match. Afterwards, an emotional Asuka hugged Iyo and raised her hand. Asuka also waved to the fans before leaving the ring.

During the May 11th 2026 edition of WWE RAW, Michael Cole stated that Asuka’s future was “up in the air.” Asuka met backstage with Iyo Sky and the two had the following exchange…

Asuka: “I was looking for someone to take over my position. Finally, you’ve become the person. I’m so glad it was you. I’m proud of you.”

Iyo: “Even if we fight, we will always be family. Goodbye, Asuka-san. See you later!”

Asuka then left the building with her luggage.
