Ric Flair: “Agents are bad words – I’ve got one right now that owes me $1.25 million”

During an interview with NewsNation, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was asked whether he had an agent who handled his contracts and represented him. Here is what Flair had to say…

“Agents are bad words. I’ve had three, and they all stunk. I’ve got one right now that owes me $1.25 million.

If you were going to ask me for any advice going forward, anybody, never become friends with your agent.

Always remember, he’s going to talk to you and make you hear what you want to hear, but they’ll stab you in the back the first chance they have.

[Did you have times in your career when you were owed money and people didn’t pay you?] I mean, right now I’m going through it. When I was dying in 2017, on life support, everybody stole everything I had.

My agents stole all my stuff because they knew I had a 5% chance to live. I spent 31 days in the ICU. They all knew that when I died, it would go into my will, and they wouldn’t be able to get it. So, they stole it. My one agent stole $150,000.”
