Early news regarding WWE’s plans for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia

This week, WWE officially announced Night of Champions 2026 for June 27th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This comes despite ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, which are believed to have prompted WWE to internally evaluate its upcoming shows in Saudi Arabia.

In regards to early plans for WrestleMania 43, WrestleVotes Radio noted that the current expectation backstage in WWE is that the event will take place in Saudi Arabia as originally scheduled. A tentative date of March 27th has been discussed, aligning with the final weekend of Riyadh Season, although the weekend of April 10th is also being considered as a possible backup option.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com also provided insight into the event’s format. While there is a possibility that WrestleMania 43 could temporarily return to a one-night show, that scenario is viewed as unlikely. Sapp reports that ESPN has indicated a preference for WrestleMania to remain a two-night event.
