A stadium is being built from the ground up for the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble PLE in Saudi Arabia

With the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble PLE just over three weeks away, construction is actively underway for a brand-new outdoor stadium in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), Saudi Arabia.

The project began with stage work visible around early January (photos emerged January 5th), and updates from January 8th and 9th show significant progress, including scaffolding, structural elements, and other additions still taking shape. Reports describe the build as happening in “record time” or at “lightning speed,” featuring an open-roof design suitable for production elements like big screens and fireworks.

Nawaf Alhazmi, who shared video footage of the construction, provided a Q&A about the Rumble event via Twitter/X…

– I haven’t booked a ticket yet, how do I book?

The tickets that were released for the Rumble event have sold out, but there will be a coming batch and its date is not known yet.

– When will resales open?

Resales usually open a week to a week and a half before the event, and you’ll find a number of tickets available in them.

– I booked a ticket but the barcode hasn’t appeared, is there a problem?

Everyone hasn’t had their barcode appear yet, and it’s normal; it will appear as the event approaches.

– When is the Meet & Greet?

The most repeated question, and no one can answer it for you because usually, wrestler meet-and-greets aren’t arranged until shortly before the event.

– Are signs allowed?

Legally? No, they’re not allowed according to the event instructions, but this has happened repeatedly in past events—sometimes they let them in, and sometimes they don’t.

– Will you do Tifo?

Unfortunately, the Tifo idea has been canceled, but we have another idea that we’re awaiting approval for, God willing, so we can start implementing it—it’s a phenomenal idea that will distinguish our crowd.

– Will you count in Arabic?

From the very beginning, we launched the #عد_بالعربي campaign, and we’re fully committed to it. This time, instead of 3 counts, there will be 10 with the wrestlers’ entrances.

– When does the event start?

The main show starts at 10:00 according to Netflix, and the event gates will open in the afternoon.

– Will the pillars affect me if I’m in the corners?

Unfortunately, according to people who sat in corners in past events, yes, they are very obstructive, but there will be a screen up top.

– You’ve ruined us with Arabic chants and songs; you’ve ruined wrestling

Incorporating your cheering culture into the cheering at wrestling events isn’t a flaw, but I’m still against overdoing the incorporation—not every soccer chant suits wrestling. But there are many beautiful and fun chants, and there will also be English chants.
