Adam Pearce seemingly makes a reference to Chris Jericho while hyping up WWE RAW
Last week, it was reported that Chris Jericho is expected to sign a new contract with WWE and could return as soon as the January 5th 2026 edition of WWE RAW. While hyping up the show, general manager Adam Pearce seemingly made a reference to Jericho by using Jericho’s “break down the walls” catchphrase. Here is what Pearce stated…
“All right, everybody. Monday Night RAW is live tonight from Brooklyn, New York, and it marks our one-year anniversary on Netflix. The show features a stacked card from top to bottom.
First, some breaking news. For the first time in six months, Liv Morgan will return to singles action as she goes one-on-one with Lyra Valkyria.
There are also three massive championship matches on the card. Who will break down the walls and walk out with gold?
Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley will face The Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, my longtime close personal friend—who just happens to be the best women’s wrestler on the planet, and that’s not just my opinion. It’s Sports Illustrated, Bleacher Report, the guy in the street, and Raleigh—Becky Lynch challenges Maxxine Dupri for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
And finally, the big one. For the World Heavyweight Championship, the unstoppable Bron Breakker goes one-on-one with the reigning champion, CM Punk. I’ve known Punk for more than 25 years, and I’ve never seen him more focused.
It’s Monday Night RAW, live from Brooklyn—8 Eastern, 5 Pacific, streaming worldwide on Netflix. Will someone walk out as a new champion? It would certainly turn the place upside down. But stranger things have happened and that is official.”
