Chad Gable expected to make his WWE return from injury in early 2026

As seen during the June 23rd 2025 edition of WWE RAW, Penta snapped Chad Gable’s arm in a backstage segment. It was reported that the angle was done to write Gable off television due to a shoulder injury.

In an update, PWInsiderElite.com noted that Gable is expected to return to in-ring action “fairly soon” following shoulder surgery. According to the new report, Gable’s recovery has been going well, and some within WWE believe he could be back as early as next week’s episode of RAW in Brooklyn, New York. Fightful.com was told by sources that Gable “is planned to be back by the Royal Rumble, and hopefully is back before then.”

PWInsider also stated that Gable has been working toward medical clearance and has made several visits to the WWE Performance Center in recent months as part of his rehabilitation.
