“Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe in a steel cage match for the AEW men’s world title took place at AEW Full Gear 2025. Here are the highlights…

Joe was busted open by Page in the early moments. Page used a cowboy boot as a weapon against the bloodied Joe. Joe was eventually able to gain the advantage, and Page was also busted open from the cage.

After exposing the top turnbuckle, Joe went for a Muscle Buster, but Page bit him. Page gave Joe a powerbomb out of the corner, but then Shibata appeared at ringside. Shibata climbed the cage with the AEW World Title but was stopped by Eddie Kingston.

The referee was accidentally knocked down, and Page hit the Deadeye, but there was nobody to make the count. Powerhouse Hobbs broke the cage door chain and went after Page. Page fought off Hobbs, but Joe took advantage with the Coquina Clutch. Page sent Joe into the exposed turnbuckle and hit the Buckshot Lariat, but the referee was still down.

Hook entered the ring and appeared to be helping Page, but instead hit him with the World Title. Joe hit a Muscle Buster on the AEW World Title and scored the pinfall victory to become the new champion.

After the match, Joe celebrated his victory with the Opps. However, the lights went out, and Swerve Strickland made his return. Swerve got into the ring and confronted Joe with members of the Opps Dojo at ringside. Swerve laid out the Dojo members as Joe retreated. Page got to his feet and stood tall with Swerve as Full Gear ended.
