LA Knight comments on being “very unhappy” due to his creative situation with Vince McMahon in WWE

Max Dupri character: “(Vince McMahon) had a vision for this thing that put such a microscope on it and I didn’t know what the hell it was… and it just wasn’t going well. I was very unhappy and I’m sure he probably was and then at some point it was just like all of a sudden I’m not on TV and I’m like, well, I’m pretty sure I’m fired. I’m pretty sure this whole ride is over.”

Working with John Cena: “That is one of the easiest guys to work with. Everything is simple. Super easy to talk to. Super cool. Super nice… If I wanted to pull him aside and ask him about a few things he was more than willing to give me the time and any kind of words to direct me one way or another. Just an awesome dude.”

Becoming a champion in 2024: “Some others would say ‘Ah, he doesn’t need it,’ but for me I think I do need it. I think the reason I need it is…I have gotten to a level that I have proven I am beyond worthy, I have proven that I deserve it and I’ve proven that I’ve earned it.”
