How many tickets have reportedly been sold for WWE Smackdown due to John Cena
As previously noted, John Cena is set to team with Kevin Owens on the final WWE Smackdown of 2022 in Tampa, FL. The two will face unified WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
It appears that the show will end up selling out. Twitter account @WrestleTix noted that as of Tuesday, 12,089 tickets have been distributed. According to @WrestleTix, 4,600+ of those tickets were sold after the announcement was made that Cena would be part of the show.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com commented on Cena’s drawing power…
“We always say, and it’s true, ‘It’s the brand and not the guy’, but John Cena is the exception. They’ve sold 4,000 tickets in Tampa since he was announced on that show, which is amazing. You know, he is the exception to the rule. If you’re wondering, ‘Is anyone a draw?’ It’s like, well, he is.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
