Update regarding altercation between Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara
As previously noted, Eddie Kingston reportedly confronted Sammy Guevara on August 10th 2022 in Minneapolis (AEW’s Quake by the Lake Dynamite/Rampage event) and there was a verbal dispute that led to Kingston being suspended for two weeks.
Fightful Select provided some additional details on the show. It was said that the two had not spoken since the Blood and Guts cage match in late June and Kingston was reportedly mad because Guevara did not clear material for a promo that ended up being edited off television. It’s believed that Guevara called Kingston a “fat piece of shit” but that apparently wasn’t the only issue as Fightful stated the following…
“The crux of the frustration, however, was how Sammy Guevara followed up with this after being perceived as difficult working with Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page and Sonjay Dutt in the months prior. After that, we’re told that Kingston had yelled at Sammy Guevara, who smiled at him. Kingston responded by pie facing Guevara.”
Kingston vs. Guevara was seemingly in the works for the 2022 All Out PPV but it’s unclear if the match will still take place.
