WWE Title match announced for Day 1 PPV on January 1st

On the November 29th 2021 edition of WWE RAW, Seth Rollins announced that he will challenge Big E for the WWE Title at the Day 1 PPV event on January 1st.

However, Kevin Owens defeated Big E by DQ in the main event of the show with the stipulation being that Owens would be added to the PPV match if he won. Big E will now be defending his title against both Rollins and Owens.

WWE Day 1 will take place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, January 1st 2022.
