Wrestle Review: It's About Time!
Submitted by Andy Sullivan on 05/22/2021 at 11:26 AM

WWE finally released Velveteen Dream Thursday afternoon. From "good riddance" to "it's about time", fans have had a lot to say. I only hope AEW or Impact aren't stupid enough to hire him. I don't think they are.

Big E vs a (finally) returning Aleister Black has the potential to be an excellent feud throughout the Summer. He returned in the fatal fourway I-C title match on Smackdown. It looked like E was on his way to regaining the title until Black re-emerged and attacked E. This makes me wonder if this was a solo act or maybe Apollo is slowly starting a stable that Black is a part of. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this! Also, who's next for Crews and how will that be decided? KO? a #1 contender battle royal or tournament? Again, we'll see what develops.

Next weekend is a big one for AEW. Due to the NBA Playoffs, AEW Dynamite will air Friday night. Double or Nothing is two nights later. But that's not the biggest AEW news! AEW Dynamite will move to TBS in 2022, as announced Wednesday. AEW Rampage premieres on TNT August 13 after Dynamite. TNT will debut four wrestling specials annually, I'm thinking Clash of Champions-esque. So, will the TNT Championship be renamed the TBS Championship? I mean, the champ is/was called "the face of the network".

I'll be back next weekend with my Memorial Day weekend Double or Nothing preview. Catch you then! Check out my Blendertainment podcats on Apple, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts!
