The X-Factor: WrestleMania 36
Submitted by Victor Mariscal on 03/20/2020 at 06:56 PM

You might remember the 2015 Royal Rumble. What I also remember is the Raw after that. They were gonna do it in Hartford but had to cancel due to a blizzard. They did it from their HQ in Stamford, CT, doing interviews and replaying the WWE title bout and the Rumble match. Dean Ambrose was shown getting there by “walking” from Hartford in a blizzard.

The recent cancellations had me thinking of this show and that they should use this format for a while. Most of the roster is thinking this too.

One could applaud Vince’s “the show must go on” mentality, but he really has nothing to gain by it. He could sit at home for a few months paying his wrestlers enough money for them to get by. Brock Lesnar might be stuck in Canada. Lucky him, living somewhere isolated.

I don’t mind saying I’m scared every day. Both of my parents are 67. Not one but three states are on lockdown. The entire US might have to do the same too. What about those poor Italians?

I don’t have that much desire to watch WrestleMania 36, but given how bad things are getting, it’s an escape we need. There’s no sports going on. Movie and TV production is suspended. We can’t even go to the movies. So many are stuck at home.

Let’s spare a thought for the fans who won’t get to go to Tampa. They had five straight days of events too. All those indy promotions won’t get to ride the ‘Mania wave.

There’s no other way to say it. Life sucks. Everyone feels so helpless and it may be months before things are good again.
