I was watching something else Tuesday night and recording Smackdown, as I often do. My friend Chris was texting me highlights. As soon as he texted me about Kofi losing, I was so mad I just deleted my recording as soon as it ended. We're obviously getting Kofi in the WWE Championship match at Mania. "How"? I'm so glad you asked.
New Day confront Vince on the kickoff show and demand justice and another shot. An exasperated Vince finally says, "Fine! He'll get the shot. He'll get the shot IF he wins the Andre battle royal". Hey, it'd make that battle royal mean something.
I know I usually do predictions a few days before the shows but I just wanted to get that out there.
I think 2 WrestleMania matches will be finalized the night of the show. Corbin will be taken out backstage by John Cena. He already hinted on his IG page Wednesday that he, like us, wasn't on board with Corbin being Angle's "last" match in WWE.
Is Big E's recent social media post this week the beginning of a heel turn? Also, seeing that Alie has signed with AEW surprised me quite a bit, especially given her recent storyline on Impact with Rosemary, James Mitchell and Kierra Hogan. Something could've happened last night on Impact. I wasn't home to watch so I don't know.
I know there are a lot of negative Nancy's out there saying how this year's WrestleMania will be the worst(and longest) ever. I have an idea: if you don't want to watch live, don't. I've always been about watching pay-per-view events for fun, not to pick out flaws. But hey, some people enjoy railing against anything and everything. Whatever you like.
We did see a new member of OVE this past Friday. Sami Callahan got some helped from a violent giant last night on Impact. This is very Kane-ish. I'm intrigued as to who the identity of the individual. Maybe we'll find out next Friday night.
How are things going to look as we enter the home stretch to WrestleMania? We shall see. I'll check back in next week with my WrestleMania predictions!
