Wrestle Review: The Dirt Sheet Boogie

The Dean Ambrose "news" this week of his impending departure is a bit of a "believe what you want" type of a situation, no? Everybody is playing into it, too. is in on it. Dean did a good job of pulling a CM Punk this past Monday. Remember the entire Punk saga? Of course you do. Sure, Punk did eventually leave. What was also interesting is Renee posted something on her IG about the world being his oyster. I suppose we'll see eventually how this plays out.

I dig how they're using a returning Jeff Jarrett. First he's #2 in the Rumble behind #1 Elias. They start a feud that continues the next night. Is a Jeff Jarrett vs Elias guitar on a poll match upcoming? Maybe Elimination Chamber? WrestleMania?

Pairing Fin Balor with Lashley is interesting. Well, maybe interesting isn't the word. I just hope this ends with Fin becoming Intercontinental Champion. It's not that I dislike Bobby Lashley. Well, not entirely. I just find him boring. And no, giving Fin the IC strap isn't a consolation prize. That said, I wish they would have him win it.

Miz and Shane as Smackdown tag champs should be fun. They're defending against Jimmy and Jey Uso at Elimination Chamber. I assume they retain because of the Naomi/Mandy mess, somehow. This leads to Miz and Shane defending the tag titles at Mania and the eventual Miz vs Shane feud culminating at SummerSlam. Sound about right?

I'll catch Impact later so no review on that this week. I do wonder, however, how many stars Impact will lose to AEW. Same for WWE. AEW is doing a fine job at keeping us in suspense. At least they have that going for them. I'll be interested to see what(and who) they can pull off once they're finally up and running.

Are they really going to add Charlotte to Becky vs Ronda at Mania? That would be the most tone-deaf move in quite awhile. Which is why WWE will probably do just that. I bet they'll have an elimination chamber match with the winner joining Becky and Ronda. The winner of course will be Charlotte. I hope not but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. And the internet will explode.

Catch you next week!
