The X-Factor: WWE Royal Rumble 2025 predictions

How many of us remember the 2015 Royal Rumble? All that hype surrounding Daniel Bryan, the infamy of 2014 fresh in our minds, and it was in Philadelphia. Surely they wouldn’t mess it up…

…and so, that was where the Roman Reigns hate train went to full steam.

Quick history lesson. The first Royal Rumble was a USA Network special meant to counter JCP’s Bunkhouse Stampede. Except it was 20 men and the “both feet” rule wasn’t a thing.

The award for “Craziest Royal Rumble” goes to 1999. You’d have to be an Attitude Era fan to really appreciate it.

AJ Styles’ debut and Goldberg in 2017 are favorite moments of mine. There’s also Kofi’s Rumble saves and who doesn’t enjoy those.

Then there’s all the hype surrounding surprise entrants. The best one was John Cena in 2008. Don’t lie, not even MSG could hide it.

On the women’s side, there’s Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, and AJ Lee. The men’s side could have Aleister Black, The Rock, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles. Hell even Goldberg.

They could go to Suplex City too.

Let’s get into it.

Undisputed WWE Championship
Ladder match
Kevin Owens vs. Cody Rhodes (C)

Perhaps this one should open the show so the loser can enter the men’s Rumble later?

Being a ladder match and the talent involved there’s MOTY potential. Despite the odds, a KO victory does have its fans. As much as he deserves it, they’re not gonna shaft Rhodes or Cena this close to WrestleMania 41. Will Zayn play a role? Owens has this whole “with me or against me” vibe.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

Women’s Royal Rumble

Let’s say it’s Bianca Belair. A bout with Rhea Rip,ey could tear the house down and maybe headline. There’s also a potential Charlotte Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton.

While she has her haters, Charlotte’s skills were never the issue. She gave the rub towards Ripley two years ago, and Triple H may want her to “equal” her daddy’s world title reigns.

There’s also the Jade Cargill angle. We may find out who blitzed her if she shows up.

Winner: Charlotte Flair

Men’s Royal Rumble

We all know what’s in the cards for Cena, but the rest? We’ve been hearing The Final Boss won’t be there, but they’ve gotten us good before. There’s also Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and of course the OTC.

What happens to Roman Reigns if The Rock isn’t an option? There’s also the World Heavyweight Champion. No guarantees it’s gonna be Gunther heading into Las Vegas.

Lots of questions to be answered.

Winner: John Cena

Don’t forget, it’s starting at 3PM pacific time.

Don’t mess with the X.
